DAY FOR NIGHT
DAY FOR NIGHT
Create a beautiful light-based art piece for Day For Night 2017, a one-of-a-kind art and music festival held in a 1.5 million square foot decommissioned post office complex in downtown Houston.
Get the blood pumping via an immersive experience to hype the release of the new Nike Mercurial Superfly And Vapour 360 football boots.
Let's combine art and data as a design material to create a beautiful story about human resilience and bonding.
The result was a large-scale projection entitled UPROAR. This piece, which pays homage to the resilience of the people of Houston, simultaneously visualizes storm data from Hurricane Harvey and Twitter mentions of #HOUSTONSTRONG. Precipitation rates, wind speeds, and water levels were all provided by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Twitter was used to track the number of tweets and retweets of #HOUSTONSTRONG over the course of 4 days.
The result was powerful. Two opposing waves approach each other, one a natural disaster, another the human response, with humanity standing defiant and reclaiming a ravaged geography.
